LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC San Diego men's water polo head coach Denny Harper has officially released the schedule for the annual Triton Invitational, September 3 and 4 at Canyonview Aquatic Center. The 2011 Invite features six teams and will run throughout Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
UCSD will be joined by Air Force Academy, Cal Lutheran, Loyola, Redlands and La Verne in the teams' first action of the Fall. Each squad will play four matches- two on Saturday, and two on Sunday.
The Tritons will open the Invite at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3 against Redlands. They will follow with a 3:30 p.m. clash with Air Force. The following day, UCSD will face Cal Lutheran at 9:00 a.m. and then Western Water Polo Association-foe LMU at 3:30 p.m.

UCSD went 13-13 overall last season, finishing fourth at the 2010 WWPA Championships. The Tritons welcome back last year's leading scorer, Brian Donohoe, and ACWPC All-American goalie, David Morton. Harper was hot on the recruiting trail during the offseason, signing 10 new prospects to National Letters of Intent.
