Nationally, UCSD ranks 40th in scoring defense (61.9), 71st in threes/game (6.2), 74th in rebound margin (3.0) and 97th in fewest turnovers/game (15.9). Individually, Megan Perry is 67th in three-point percentage (.377).

NCAA RELEASES FINAL REGIONAL RANKINGS
The NCAA released its third and final regional rankings of the season Wednesday and UC San Diego sits in the eighth spot. Montana State-Billings tops the list and is followed by Cal Poly Pomona, Simon Fraser, Chico State, Alaska Anchorage, Seattle Pacific, Cal State Dominguez Hills, UCSD, Western Washington and Academy of Art.

NCAA SELECTION SHOW
The field for the 2014 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championships will be announced on Sunday, March 9, at 7 p.m. Pacific. A live selection show can be viewed at NCAA.com.

MILESTONES FOR DAUTREMONT
On Feb. 1 vs. Humboldt State, Erin Dautremont scored her 1,000th career point. She is the ninth Triton to reach the 1,000 career points mark during the school's NCAA Division II era (since the 2000-01 season). She also grabbed her 500th career rebound this season.

TRITON NOTES
UCSD holds an 8-5 home record, a 7-4 mark on the road and a 1-1 record at neutral sites this season…The Tritons are 2-2 against nationally-ranked teams this year...The 47 points scored by Sonoma State (2/22) were the second-fewest by an opponent this season (38 by Cal State Monterey Bay on 1/11)...UCSD is being out-scored 777-756 in the first half but out-scoring opponents 855-804 in the second...Erin Dautremont's double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds vs. SFSU (2/21) was her team-leading fifth of the season...Miranda Seto has scored in double-digits in 18 of 22 games played, including a career-high 25 against Cal Poly Pomona (1/31)...Megan Perry has hit a career-high six three-pointers on two occasions...McKennan Bertsch attempted her first career three-pointer last week at Cal State Dominguez Hills...Haley Anderson's six free throws made at Cal State Dominguez Hills (3/1) were a career-high...Until this year, the last time the Tritons lost four consecutive CCAA games was during their 2002-03 campaign...Four players have recorded nine double-doubles for the Tritons as Erin Dautremont has five, Megan Perry has two and McKennan Bertsch and Emily Morris each have one.

TURKEY TROPHY
Erin Dautremont was tabbed the Thanksgiving Classic's most valuable player after averaging a tournament-best 17.5 points per game over two contests. The forward was joined by Megan Perry, a fellow senior, on the All-Tournament Team. Dautremont was selected to the UCSD Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team in 2012 as well.

SETO EARNS WEEKLY LEAGUE HONOR
Junior guard Miranda Seto was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week on Nov. 25 following her performances at the West Region Crossover Classic at Azusa Pacific on Nov. 22-23. Seto scored a game-high 16 points in a 72-66 overtime win against No. 13 Western Washington. She also contributed five rebounds and four assists in the comeback victory. In a 66-63 loss against No. 21 Seattle Pacific, Seto poured in 17 points on 6-for-14 shooting, including finding the bottom of the net on three attempts from behind the arc. She grabbed three boards and dished out three assists in the near-upset. Overall, Seto averaged 16.6 points and grabbed five steals on the weekend. It was the first CCAA honor of her career.

HEAD COACH HEIDI VANDERVEER
Heidi VanDerveer is in her second season leading the Tritons in 2013-14. In her first year with the team, UCSD finished with a 22-11 overall record and placed second in the CCAA with a 17-5 mark. The Tritons won their first-ever league tournament title and qualified for the NCAA Division II postseason for the eighth time since 2000-01. Prior to coming to La Jolla, VanDerveer spent four seasons at Division III Occidental, where she compiled an impressive 83-26 record and led the Tigers to four straight Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles. VanDerveer has also spent time as the head coach at Eastern Washington and San Francisco. She began her coaching career under Pat Summitt at Tennessee and spent 12 years working in the WNBA. In addition to her collegiate and professional experience, VanDerveer worked with USA Basketball as a scout for the 2006 World Championship team and the 2008 World Qualifying Tournament. She also served as a scout for the 2008 Olympic Team that won a gold medal in Beijing. VanDerveer graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's Degree in political science in 1986 and went on to earn her Master's in physical education and sports psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1988. She was a four-year letterwinner on the basketball team at Charleston and served as a team captain as a junior and a senior.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Cal State L.A. comes into its third straight CCAA Tournament appearance with a 16-10 overall record. The fifth-seeded Golden Eagles finished with a 13-9 mark in the CCAA, tied with three other teams for third place. CSULA earned its berth in the tourney with a 75-60 home victory against Cal State San Bernardino last Saturday. The Eagles had lost four straight games prior to that, including a 68-61 setback to UCSD last Friday in Los Angeles. As a team, Cal State L.A. ranks first among all CCAA squads in blocks/game (4.1), third in field goal percentage (.421) and rebounds/game (41.2) and eighth in points/game (66.7). Destinee La Fountain leads the league in rebounding (10.1/game) and is second in blocks (1.9/game), while Paige Melville is eighth in scoring (14.5/game).

UCSD holds a commanding 27-5 advantage in the all-time series against Cal State L.A. The Tritons have won the last five meetings between the two squads, last losing on March 2, 2012, in a CCAA Tournament semifinal (77-76).
