Heather Ledezma joined UCSD Intercollegiate Athletics in the summer of 2007. As the Human Resources Coordinator, Ledezma provides support to the athletics business functions with an emphasis on human resources. She is responsible for all staff and student human resource programs and volunteer employment. She manages and processes recruitments, separations, evaluations, training, benefits administration and oversees all payroll accounting. Ledezma manages various components of accounting in the Athletics Department including gift processing and payments to sports officials. Ledezma is involved with athletics strategic planning committees and has contributed to writing portions of the athletics' internal policies and procedures manual. During her tenure, Ledezma has fortified the relationships between the athletics program and the university's administrative units of Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting Disbursements and External Relations/UCSD Foundation. 

Prior to UCSD, Ledezma worked for US Portfolio Services in San Diego. Responsibilities included training new hires in database use, coaching in customer service, company protocol and client interaction. 

Ledezma graduated in the spring of 2007 from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Management.
