Heather Ledezma joined UCSD Intercollegiate Athletics in the summer of 2007 as the Human Resources Coordinator.
As the Assistant Director of Business Operations, Ledezma provides support to the business functions of the Athletics Department with an emphasis on human resources. She is responsible for all staff and student human resource programs and volunteer employment. She manages and processes recruitments, separations, evaluations, training and benefits administration and oversees all payroll accounting.
Ledezma manages various components of accounting in the Athletics Department including gift processing and payments to sports officials. She is involved with strategic planning committees and has contributed to writing portions of the department's internal policies and procedures manual.
During her tenure, Ledezma has fortified the relationships between Athletics and the university's administrative units of Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting Disbursements and External Relations/UCSD Foundation.
Prior to UCSD, Ledezma worked for US Portfolio Services in San Diego. Her responsibilities included training new hires in database use, coaching in customer service, company protocol and client interaction.
Ledezma graduated in the spring of 2007 from San Diego State University with a degree in business management.
