Danielle Boyle joined UC San Diego Intercollegiate Athletics in the summer of 2011. As Athletics Program Coordinator, she is responsible for drafting game contracts for all home competitions, coordinating preseason housing arrangements with Housing and Dining Services and communicating with visiting teams and officials. She also manages the application process of postseason bids and hires, trains and supervises the front office student staff.
Boyle doubles as the logistical coordinator for several special events, such as New Athlete Orientations, the All-Athlete Welcome Back event, the annual department Kick-Off Meeting and the ICA Recognition Night banquet. She also assists the Sports Information Department with media relations, publicity, publications and website maintenance for the men's and women's water polo programs.
Prior to joining the UCSD Athletics Department, Boyle worked at GEICO auto insurance for eight years. She held various positions in the sales and marketing department, including sales supervisor, sales analyst and partnership marketing manager.
Boyle earned a Master of Science in Sports Management from Drexel University in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC San Diego in 2003.
Boyle was a four-year letterwinner in water polo during her undergraduate years at UCSD (2000-03). She was Team Captain in 2002 and 2003. Her 60 assists in 2003 still stand as the most assists in a single season in school history. Boyle is fifth in career assists in UCSD history with 101.
During her free time, Boyle enjoys opening water swimming, playing water polo with Sunset Water Polo Club and traveling.
