Erik Carr
Sports Information Intern
Erik Carr enters his second year as an intern with UCSD Sports Information in 2012-13.

Carr serves as the contact for the Triton men's and women's cross country teams. Other responsibilities include handling game management duties at home contests, updating athletics-related literature and maintaining profiles of athletic personnel.

Carr came on board with UCSD in March of 2012 and was the head writer of the athletics department's annual year-in-review booklet.

Prior to coming to La Jolla, Carr served as the sports editor of the The Poly Post, Cal Poly Pomona's student newspaper, from March of 2010 to June of 2011. He covered the 2010 NCAA Division II national champion CPP men's basketball team and accompanied the Broncos to Durham, N.C., to play Duke, the 2010 DI national champion, in an exhibition game.

Carr also spent time working in the Cal Poly Pomona Sports Information office, serving as the contact for women's soccer while performing several other multimedia tasks.

Carr is a 2012 graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor's Degree in communication journalism and is also a 2009 graduate of Cuesta College with an Associate's Degree in architectural technology.
