ASK THE A.D. - EARL W. EDWARDS

Question---Is it true that the CCAA is going to expand?

Edwards----In an effort to get 12 teams in the conference, the CCAA has decided to take in Humboldt State University, effective in the fall of 2006. Humboldt met the criteria set forth by the CCAA's President's Council in that it is a California institution, its mission is in line wit the majority of the current conference members and it has an oustanding overall athletic program that will provide good competition. There will certainly be some new challenges, particularly in the area of travel, but adding Humboldt State will help the CCAA continue to be one of the premier Division II conferences in the nation.
