PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Transferred to UCSD from Santa Clara University... redshirted on the soccer team in 2003 as the Broncos went on to win the West Coast Conference championship and make their fifth NCAA College Cup appearance in school history.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of nearby Rancho Bernardo High School... led his soccer team in scoring to help the squad to a 26-2 record... earned All-Palomar League honors as Rancho Bernardo advanced to the CIF Finals.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 15, 1984... parents are Jose and Elisa Fernandez... has three younger siblings: Mario, Carlos and Tessa... is a Sociocultural Anthropology major at Marshall College... wants to pursue a PhD and take part in a start-up company after graduation... enjoys reading and being outside in his free time.
