Chad Addison begins his seventh season as assistant coach for the Triton baseball team. He will continue his recruiting and advance scouting duties again in 2010.

Addison was a four-year starter at UCSD from 1999-2002, earning All-CCAA Honorable Mention accolades as a junior. A career .338 hitter, he was a 2002 co-captain, a Coaches Award recipient in 2001, and was named the team's Rookie of the Year in 1999. He played his prep ball locally at La Costa Canyon HS.

Addison began as a graduate assistant coach at UCSD in 2003 and then served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from 2004-06, before being promoted to associate head coach in 2006. The Tritons compiled a .579 winning percentage (132-96) from 2003-06 and set numerous team records during that span, including 61 home runs in 2006.

In the summer of 2006, Addison was an assistant coach for the Brewster Whitecaps of the prestigious Cape Cod League.

Addison graduated from UCSD in 2002 with a degree in Politcal Science. He then earned his Masters in Education and high school teaching credential in mathematics from National University.
