AS A JUNIOR IN 2006: Hit a career-best 12 homeruns and added 19 doubles... enters the season with 45 career doubles, only four short of the all-time mark at UCSD... had 17 multi-hit games... ranks in the UCSD top-10 in all-time fielding percentage... drove in at least three RBI in five contests...threw out 13-of-28 baserunners from behind the plate.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005: Earned several honors including the Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II West Region All-Star team, ABCA/Rawlings All West Region and All-CCAA honors... set the school record with 20 doubles and had a team-high seven homeruns in 2005... had 117 total bases, stole nine bases and threw-out 13 baserunners from the catcher position... drove in an RBI in 16-of-20 chances with a runner on third and less than two outs.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004: Started 29 games and hit .309 in his first season on the UCSD campus... tallied six doubles and two homeruns in 97 at-bats... hit at a .367 (18-of-49) clip with runners on-base... hit safely in 12-of-24 at-bats with two-outs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Rancho Bernardo HS in San Diego, Calif. where he was a member of the baseball team that won two National and CIF Championships... earned All-County honors... also involved with his school’s Peer Counseling staff... earned an AAU Championship on the club team and was named an AAU All-American.

PERSONAL: Born October 15, 1985 in San Diego, Calif.... he is the son of David and Nancy Morehead... has a younger sibling, Matt... a Mathematics and Economics major in Warren College... hobbies include working out, fishing and surfing.
