COACH’S THOUGHTS

“Currently we are headed into the weekend the second seed in the Varsity and JV races and the number one seed in the Third Varsity,” said Head Coach Zach Johnson. “This race includes all our conference rivals so for us this will really determine conference seedings and what we need to do to improve heading into the end of the year.”

LAST TIME OUT

The Tritons previously traveled to Philadelphia to take part in the Kerr Cup Regatta. The Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 crews both advanced to their respective finals, and ultimately placed fourth. View the full recap here.

UP NEXT

Next, the Tritons will race at the Western Sprints Championships. They will look to repeat their success from last season, when they swept all four events they competed in. This year’s competition will take place at 1 p.m. on May 11.
