Hoops Squads Hit the Road for Exhibition Contests
LA JOLLA, Calif. – With the start of the regular season barely two weeks away, the UC San Diego men’s and women’s basketball programs will hit the road for a trio of exhibition contests next week against Division I opponents. The women will take to the hardwood first, traveling to UC Riverside on Sunday, October 27. Later that week, the men will play at San Diego State (October 30) and UC Irvine (November 1).

Prior to the men’s game at San Diego State, UC San Diego will host a free pregame party at 5:30 p.m. in the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center. A similar complimentary event will take place at UC Irvine in the UCI Newkirk Alumni Center at 5:30 on November 1. Registration is required to attend either event.
In addition, Triton Tide members are eligible to take an exclusive trip to Irvine to support UC San Diego. The all-inclusive package includes round trip transportation between UC San Diego and UC Irvine, a ticket to the game, food, and an exclusive t-shirt – all for free. To participate, Triton Tide members must register at the Triton Tide booth at Wednesday’s soccer matches or men’s water polo on Friday, and tickets are limited.
The 2019-20 basketball season tips off on Friday, November 8 when the UC San Diego men take on Simon Fraser in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Western Washington. The women open their slate on Sunday, November 10 when the Tritons host Simon Fraser at Noon. All UC San Diego home men’s and women’s basketball games will be broadcast live on ESPN3 this season making the Tritons one of just three NCAA Division II programs to have all of its home basketball games broadcast live on ESPN Networks.
