Nationally, the Tritons picked up 283 points for seventh place. Lubbock Christian, Drury, and Fort Hays State captured the top three spots, respectively.

In D2SIDA’s regional breakdown, UC San Diego ranked second with 54 points and two first-place votes behind only Azusa Pacific, who earned 56 points and fourth first-place votes.

The Tritons are coming off of a record-breaking season. UC San Diego opened 2018-19 with a program-record 30-game winning streak, won the CCAA regular-season title for the fourth-consecutive season, and earned the CCAA Tournament crown. The Tritons became the first CCAA team to finish the regular season undefeated.

This year, UC San Diego will open its season at noon on Nov. 10, hosting Simon Fraser at RIMAC Arena. This is the Tritons’ final year competing in Division II, as they will begin the transition to Division I next season.
