AS A JUNIOR IN 2008: Placed seventh in the Long Jump at the CCAA Championship with a distance of 6.21M, and first in the Triple Jump with a distance of 13.86M...  At the UCSD Triton Invitational placed 14th in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.30M and 10th in the Triple Jump with a distance of 13.91M... Long Jump and Triple Jump Champion at the San Diego City Championships... Placed third in the Triple Jump at the All-Cal Challenge Cup... At the Cal-Nevada Championships placed 10th in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.67M, and sixth in the Triple Jump with a distance of 14.16m.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007: Finished 3rd in the long jump with a distance of 22’4.25” and 7th in the triple jump with a season-best distance of 46’7.5” at the Rossi Relays... placed 3rd in the long jump with a distance of 20’9.75” during the UCSD Divisional Challenge... finished 4th in the long jump and 2nd in the triple jump with distances of 21’11.5” and 45’7.75”, respectively, at the UCLA Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersey Invitational... placed 7th in the long jump during the UCSD Triton Invitational with a mark of 21’8” and 4th in the triple jump at 46’6.75”... recorded 5th place long jump finish at the CCAA Championships with a distance of 22’2.25”, while also finishing 3rd in the triple jump at 46’4.25.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006: Earned All-CCAA First Team honors and Freshman of the Year award after breaking school record in the triple jump at the CCAA Championships with a distance of 48’2.5”... finished 2nd in triple jump event at All-Cal Championships with a distance of 47’11”... won long jump event during both the Rafer Johnson/UCLA Invitational and San Diego City Championships. Set season-best marks for the Tritons in long jump during CCAA Championships with distance of 22’5”, good for 6th place in the event and 7th place in UCSD record books. Named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif... achieved statistical bests of 48’3.75 in the triple jump, 22’2” in the long jump, and 6’2” in the high jump... helped team to Mission League Championship in 2004 and CIF Championship in 2002, 2004, and 2005.

 

PERSONAL: Born November 21, 1987... parents are James Tsuda and Nancy Fukumoto... both James and Nancy attended Long Beach State... is a Biology major at Sixth College... enjoys fishing in his spare time.
