AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Finished 4th in the hammer throw during the All-Cal Championships with a mark of 153’6”... won the hammer throw event during the San Diego City Championships with a throw of 144’9”... hammer throw distance of 149’ earned 3rd place finish in event during UCSD Divisional Challenge... finished 2nd in the hammer throw during the CCAA Championships, recording a distance of 155’3”... season-best throw of 157’ ranks as the 5th best mark for the hammer throw event in UCSD history.

 

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Finished first in the hammer throw at the San Diego City Championships... finished third in the hammer throw at the All-Cal Championships with a throw of 145’8”... finished fourth in the hammer throw at the CCAA Championships with a distance of 141’2”... career-best throw of 155’1” in the hammer was second on the team and an improvement of over 26 feet from her best the prior year, also ranking 6th all-time.

 

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Distance of 128’2” in the hammer throw at the San Diego City Championships was UCSD’s third best mark of the season... distance of 123’4” in the discus at Point Loma was also the third best Triton finish in that event for the season.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of nearby Rancho Bernardo High School... personal bests of 38’4” in the shot put and 128’11” in the discus... named Most Valuable Player of her squad in 2003.

 

PERSONAL: Born March 24, 1986... parents are Chris and Coral Karnaze... both Chris and Coral attended the University of Kansas... has a younger brother named Andrew... is a Cognitive Science major in Sixth College... enjoys reading, writing, and art in her spare time.
