WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – UC San Diego sophomore outfielder Kristyn Lesovsky was named the Worth/California Collegiate Athletic Association Softball Player of the Week for the week ending February 15, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office. Lesovsky hit .619 (13-for-21) in six games last week, finishing with four runs scored, a home run, five RBI, a .905 slugging percentage, and an on-base percentage of .680. 

The sophomore transfer from Florida Tech had at least one hit in each game last week and finished with two hits or more in five out of the six. Lesovsky had a huge performance against CCAA foe San Francisco State on Saturday, hitting first home run as Triton in the first game of the day, before finishing 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in the nightcap.

In the four game series with the Gators, Lesovsky batted .667 (10-for-15) with four runs, three doubles, and 16 total bases. She finished the series with a slugging percentage of 1.067 and a .722 on-base percentage, helping UCSD take three out of four from SFSU.  

Among CCAA players during the week, Lesovsky ranked first in average, on-base percentage, hits, and tied for first in doubles and total bases.

The Tritons return to action on Saturday when they host Grand Canyon in a nonconference doubleheader beginning at noon.
