Otter Invite Play Suspended Due to Darkness, Round Two Resumes Tuesday Morning
SEASIDE, Calif. - With several holes remaining in the second round, play at the Otter Invitational was suspended due to darkness Monday.
Round two will resume Tuesday at 8 a.m. with a third and final round of 18 holes to follow.
UC San Diego is sitting in a favorable position among the 19-team field (current official team standings not available). Sophomore Adam Navigato is atop the leaderboard, currently 10-under par. In round one, he came in with a 3-under 69 and is 7-under with one hole to play in the second round. Navigato's current round includes one eagle and seven birdies.
"Today was an exceptional day for the team," said UCSD head coach Jim Ragan. "We have played our way into contention at the most important tournament on our schedule that also features the largest field that we will see all year."
Cal State Monterey Bay is hosting the tournament at Blackhorse. Tuesday's play can be followed with live scoring.
