Tritons 10th After First Day of Saint Martin's Invitational in Washington State

DUPONT, Wash. - The University of California San Diego golf team is in 10th place of 18 squads following Friday's two rounds of action at the Saint Martin's Invitational at The Home Course.

UC San Diego shot a 298 in the opening round and a 296 in round two for a 594 total, 18 over par on the par-72, 6,929-yard layout.

Hayden Hui is tied for 21st after carding a pair of 73s for a 146 (+2). Jacob Johnson (76-72--148) is tied for 32nd, Justin Woo (San Diego/Torrey Pines HS) (76-75--151) is tied for 52nd, Adam Navigato (Solana Beach/Torrey Pines HS) (76-76-152) is tied for 59th, and Jared Gross (73-82--155) is tied for 78th. Ethan Chen (73-78--151), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 52nd.

Western Washington is the leader with a 567 (-9), while Stanislaus State and Simon Fraser are tied for second with a 573 (-3). Kobie Lockwood of Stanislaus State leads the 96-player field with a 135 (-9). He shot a sizzling 65 in the first round and followed that with a 70 in the second.

The third and final round is slated for Saturday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at The Home Course. Play can be followed with live scoring.
