Hayden Hui Nets GCAA/PING All-America Honorable Mention
NORMAN, Okla. - Hayden Hui of the University of California San Diego has been named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA)/PING All-America Honorable Mention.
A junior, Hui held a team-best 72.5 stroke average and was UC San Diego's top finisher in 11 of 13 tournaments this season. He placed second at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional, pacing the Tritons to a second-place showing and a berth in the NCAA Championships. At nationals, Hui tied for 28th in the 108-competitor field.
Also this season, Hui was a GCAA/PING All-West Region selection and a member of the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) First Team. A Structural Engineering major with a 3.55 GPA, he was named a Google Cloud Academic All-District At-Large selection.
UC San Diego is coming off a historic season in which the Tritons qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships for the first time since 2004.
