Under Cullum, CSUN won three NCAA Division II championships and finished second twice. Boise State is the defending team champion and Brian Humphreys from BSU won the individual title in 2018. UC Santa Barbara has won the tourney three times, more than any other school. Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, and UC Irvine have each won twice.
UC San Diego opened its season Sept. 23-24 in Washington, finishing sixth of 18 teams at the Western Washington Invitational at Bellingham Golf & Country Club.
