Game One – UC Irvine 12, UC San Diego 7
After falling to the Anteaters 13-2 a week ago at the Triton Invitational, UCSD came out strong, ready for a rematch.

Senior Arman Momdzhyan put the Tritons on the board first, scoring just one minute into the contest. UCI scored back-to-back goals before freshman Connor Turnbow-Lindenstadt found the back of the net with six seconds remaining in the first quarter to tie the game at two.

UCI took over the lead in the second half scoring twice, before sophomore Skyler Munatones had a goal as time expired to make it a 4-3 game.

The Anteaters outscored UCSD 8-4 in the second half to ultimately seal the win.

Momdzhyan had his first hat trick of the season, scoring three goals while Munatones, Turnbow-Lindenstadt, sophomore Cooper Milton and freshman Boris Rubel each contributed one.

UCSD outshot UCI 33-27 and shutout the Anteaters in powerplay situations, causing UCI to go 0-11.

In goal, junior Sam Thompson made six saves while UCI goalie Matej Matijevic tallied 16.

Game two - Pepperdine 12, UC San Diego 9
The Tritons lead through all three quarters, taking an 8-7 lead into the final eight minutes but gave up five goals in the fourth and  ultimately fell, 12-9.

Turnbow-Lindenstadt had a team-high three goals while sophomore Noah Carniglia tallied two. The Waves’ Chris Dilworth had a game-high four.

UCSD got out to a fast start, compiling five goals in the first frame to take a 5-2 lead. Turnbow-Lindenstadt scored twice while junior Kevin Asplund and Momdzhyan added one a piece.

Pepperdine opened up the second frame putting two quick goals on the board before freshman Jack Ranj scored with three minutes remaining in the half. The Waves had back-to-back goals to tie the game at six, but Milton found the back of the net as time expired to give the Tritons a slight lead.

Dilworth knotted the game at seven early in the third frame before Carniglia made a five-meter penalty shot to give UCSD its final lead.
