LA JOLLA, Calif. - Five University of California San Diego women's water polo standouts earned Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division II All-America recognition, led by first-team selections senior Kayla Fedler and junior Chanel Schilling.

Sophomore goalkeeper Reilly Gallagher and junior attacker Krista Schneider both earned All-America Second Team accolades, while freshman Taylor Onstott (Carlsbad/Carlsbad HS) received All-America honorable mention.

Fedler recorded a team-high 60 points on 47 goals with 13 assists en route to earning All-Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Second Team honors. The Murrieta native scored two goals in the WWPA Tournament championship game victory, and finished with three goals in an overtime victory against No. 12-ranked Indiana.

Schilling was an All-WWPA First Team selection, recording 34 points on 29 goals with five assists, and also led the team with 45 exclusions drawn. A native of Newport Beach, Schilling scored two goals in the NCAA Championship Opening Round contest against Wagner.

Schneider, an All-WWPA First Team performer, finished the season with a team-high 61 points, scoring 17 goals and led the team with 44 assists. The junior from Anaheim Hills had a goal, an assist and four steals in the season-ending overtime loss to Wagner.

Gallagher was also an All-WWPA First Team honoree, recording a team-best 143 saves in 24 starts. The Loomis native also stepped up big against Wagner, tallying 10 saves to close the season.

Onstott was third on the squad with 59 points on 41 goals and 18 assists, and came up big with three goals and three steals in the WWPA Tournament final. The Carlsbad native has also garnered All-WWPA Second Team, WWPA All-Freshman Team and WWPA Newcomer of the Year accolades this season.

UC San Diego is coming off one of its best seasons in program history, finishing with a 24-12 overall record and winning 11 games against ranked opponents. The Tritons won the WWPA Tournament championship for the sixth consecutive season, made an appearance in the NCAA Championship Opening Round, and head coach Brad Kreutzkamp received WWPA Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career.
