COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of California San Diego women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams have moved up to the third and ninth slots, respectively, in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) TYR Top 25 Dual Meet Swimming and Diving Division II Poll, as announced this afternoon. The teams were previously ranked fourth and 10th in the CSCAA’s final regular-season poll, which was released on Jan. 30.

Since that time, the women concluded their regular season with a 153-112 dual meet victory over conference foe University of San Diego on Feb. 2. Following that, the Tritons competed in their first-ever Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships from Feb. 20-23. UC San Diego’s men and women both finished sixth, breaking a number of program records as they competed against Division I opponents.

Now, the Tritons are preparing for the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place from March 13-16 at the Indiana University Natatorium. Four divers and 23 swimmers have been selected to compete in individual events, and the Tritons will also compete in five relays on both the men’s and women’s sides. The teams will depart for Indianapolis this weekend.

The poll released this afternoon is the CSCAA's final poll of the 2018-19 season.
