Divers Set for First Meet of the Season

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego divers will have their first taste of action this weekend at the Lancer Diving Invite, hosted by California Baptist.


Participants: California Baptist, CSU Bakersfield, University of Pacific, Azusa Pacific and UC San Diego.

October 19 - 10:00 a.m.

Lancer Aquatic Center


Divers will perform six dives in the first round of the invite. Finalists will perform another six dives. Divers will compete in the 1- and 3-meter


The men’s side will be represented by Owen Hunt, Kyland Parenti and Finlay Thomson while the women will be represented by Jasmyn Cheng, Isabella Perez and Sarah Umeda. The diving squad is a young group this year consisting of sophomores and freshmen. Only Cheng has NCAA Championship experience.

The Tritons have their first home dual meet of season when they host Claremont-Mudd-Scripts on October 26.
