Former Triton All-American goalie Glenn Busch is in his ninth season as an assistant coach with the UC San Diego men's water polo program and eighth with the women's in 2014-15.
Busch starred in the cage for head coach Denny Harper from 1997-2000. A first-team Division II All-American as a senior, he earned All-Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Second Team selection in 2000 and All-WWPA honorable mention in 1999. Busch made the crucial save to seal the upset 9-8 win over USC in the 2000 NCAA Championship semifinals, advancing UCSD to its first-ever national championship game appearance.
Before joining the Triton staff, Busch spent six seasons from 2001-06 at Torrey Pines High School as the boy's water polo junior varsity coach and varsity assistant coach. He helped the school reach three consecutive CIF San Diego Section Division I championship games.
Busch graduated from UCSD with a bachelor's degree in animal physiology and neuroscience. He then also obtained his master's in education sciences from UCSD.
