In game two, UCSD scored seven of the first 10 points, the last on a Bailey kill, giving UCSD the 7-3 lead.  CSUBM would cut the deficit to 13-11 after a Brittany Etchings kill.  UCSD would quickly go on a small run including kills by Carpenter, Koche and an ace by Laura Watkins, 17-12 UCSD.  Leading 26-22, UCSD would end the game on a 4-1 run, winning game two 30-23.

Both teams hit well in game three as the Otters' .278 average was outdone by the Tritons' blistering .375 game.  The Tritons again took an early lead at 11-4 after a Carpenter kill.  CSUMB cut the deficit to one point on several occasions and eventually tied the game at 14-14.  With the Tritons ahead 21-19, UCSD scored the next four points, the last two on Carpenter aces to put UCSD in front 25-19.  The Otters cut the lead down to 26-23 UCSD, but the Tritons were able to put one last run together by scoring the last four points of the game.  Nicole Courtney sent down the match-winning kill for UCSD at 30-23.
