UC San Diego Athletics is committed to the physical, intellectual and personal development of its scholar-athletes. Our programs, resources and events are designed to promote their well-being and development as students, athletes, and people.
We strive to make the UC San Diego scholar-athlete experience the best possible, and as such, we hold our scholar-athletes to the highest standards. As representatives of the University, both on campus and within the community, we expect UC San Diego scholar-athletes to lead by example. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every member of the UC San Diego Athletics community to understand and abide by this Code of Conduct (PDF).
As leaders, it is the UC San Diego scholar-athletes' responsibility to conduct themselves in accordance with relevant Department, University, Conference and NCAA policies, in addition to federal, state and local laws.
It is important that you know and understand various rules and guidelines that have been defined by the NCAA, Big West Conference, and the university to ensure your eligibility for participation in intercollegiate competition. Please check out the Scholar-Athlete Handbook (link below) for a reference to NCAA rules, UC San Diego Athletics Department policies/procedures and scholar-athlete resources. Reach out to Compliance and/or Academics/Student-Development with any questions or concerns!
