BOSTON - The 16th-ranked Univeristy of California San Diego split a pair of games on the final day of the Harvard Inviitational Sunday at Blodgett Pool in Boston. UC San Deigo dropped a close 7-5 decision to 11th-ranked Princeton before coming back to beat Siena, 13-4 in its final tournament game.

With the split, UCSD moves to 8-10 on the season and finished the weekend with a 3-2 record. The Tritons recorded wins over No. 19 Harvard and Iona Saturday and suffered a loss to No. 14 Indiana on Friday. Princeton improved to 11-0 overall and Siena fell to 0-13.

GAME ONE

Seniors Alexis Wieseler and Lauren Boyer tallied all five of UCSD's goals with three and two, respectively. Wieseler also dished out two assists and grabbed a steal. Freshman Reilly Gallagher had five saves, two steals and one assist in goal.

The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, scoring two quick goals in the first frame before Boyer found the back of the net to make it a 2-1 game.

Wieseler notched back-to-back goals in the second quarter to knot the game at three, with 5:25 showing on the clock. However, the Tigers earned the final goal of the frame to take a 4-3 into halftime.

Princeton opened up the second half with a goal but UCSD answered with back-to-back goals from Wieseler that tied the game at five.
