LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego women's volleyball team won its third-consecutive Big West Conference match Saturday night, taking down UC Davis, 3-1, at RIMAC Arena.
Scores were 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, and 25-20.Â
The Tritons are now 6-9 overall and 3-1 in the Big West.
Having lost their last three matches, the Aggies are 5-10 and 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman middle blocker
Emily McDaniel had a monster night with a season-high and team-high 14 kills and a .462 hitting percentage with only two errors in 26 swings. She caused problems for the Aggies at the net, finishing with three blocks, two of those solos.Â
Freshman outside hitter
Sabire Karacaova joined the double-digit kills club with 12. She also contributed a career- and match-high 18 digs for her third-consecutive double-double.
Opposite
Trinity Castaneda had nine kills and outside hitter
Ava McInnes totaled eight.
Senior setter
Isabela Dobra rang up 39 assists, three service aces, nine digs, and a pair of kills.
For the night, UC San Diego hit .207 with 51 kills and 21 errors in 145 attack attempts.
On the other side of the net, UC Davis hit .176 with 49 kills and 24 miscues in 142 swings.
The Aggies were led offensively by Amara Aimufua as she had a match-high 16 kills. Josephine Ough finished with 13 kills.
