WHAT'S AT STAKE THIS WEEKEND
UC San Diego returns just four starters from last season's ninth-ranked squad, meaning that new players will have to step up for the Tritons against a slate of four teams ranked in the top-25 in the CWPA Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), including third-ranked UCLA.

CONTINUE WINNING WAYS IN OPENERS?
UC San Diego has won six of their last nine season openers dating back to 2013, all under current Head Coach Brad Kreutzkamp. Eight of those nine matches were part of the UCSB Winter Invite, which the Tritons began participating in starting in 2013.

Two-sport All-American Ciara Franke was recently profiled on UCSDTritons.com about the peace she finds in baking. Franke is an All-American swimmer and was the Big West women's water polo Player of the Year in 2021.

RECORD WATCH

With 629 career saves, Bennett Bugelli ranks ninth all time. Currently, Kaitlin Foe ranks eighth with 634 saves.
