Men's Hoops Announces Non-Conference Schedule

UC San Diego will play six times in LionTree Arena before its first home Big West game

LA JOLLA, Calif. – First year UC San Diego head coach Clint Allard '08 has announced the Tritons' 2025 men's basketball non-conference schedule. The Tritons will play five regular season non-conference games on campus in LionTree Arena, including Nov. 8 against Houston Christian to highlight UC San Diego's Homecoming Weekend. The Tritons will also host an exhibition game for the first time since moving to Division I when they welcome former Division II conference rival Cal State San Marcos on October 24. That exhibition vs. the Cougars will represent the first opportunity for season ticket holders to get a look at this year's Tritons.

2025 marks the second consecutive season the University's Homecoming festivities have centered around a basketball home weekend. All fans in attendance on Nov. 8 will receive a replica banner commemorating the team's 2025 Big West Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.

Also in November, UC San Diego opens its home slate against La Verne (Nov. 3) and hosts Idaho (Nov. 15). Other home non-conference games include December matchups with crosstown rival USD (Dec. 19) and the final non-conference contest against Stanton (Dec. 28).

The Tritons will face a challenging slate away from home in 2025, taking part in the previously announced Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational just prior to Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World (Nov. 24-26). UC San Diego will also take part in the Jack Jones Classic in Henderson, Nev., squaring off with Tulane on Dec. 13.

UC San Diego's non-conference road games include matchups with Fresno State (Nov. 12) and Nevada (Dec. 2) from the Mountain West, and LMU from the West Coast Conference (Dec. 16).

Last year, the Tritons posted an 18-2 conference record on the way to the program's first Big West regular season title. UC San Diego then captured the conference tournament title and appeared in the NCAA Division I tournament for the first time in program history.
