AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2009: Saw action in 10 games with one start at first-base... recorded his first collegiate hit at Grand Canyon on April 10, going 1-for-2 with a run scored.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mater Dei HS in Santa Ana... earned all-league honors... team went 21-9 and lost in the playoff semifinal game.

PERSONAL: Born April 28, 1989... parents are Andrew and Pamela Knapp... has two younger siblings named Megan and Tyler... a Structural Engineering major in Sixth College... enjoys all sports, music and going to the beach.
