AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005: Made 11 starts in his 22 appearances and hit .326... four of his 15 hits went for extra-bases... hit 6-for-13 with runners in scoring position.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004: In limited action had two pinch-hit at-bats in his first season at UCSD.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Santa Margarita HS where he was a member of the baseball and football team... baseball team reached the CIF semifinals in 2001 and the CIF finals in 2002... earned all-league honors on the baseball team.

PERSONAL: Born December 24, 1983 in Coto De Caza, Calif.... parents are Patrick Roth and Britton Minor... has five siblings, Lori, Nolan, Austin, McKenna and Tobey... Economics major with a Psychology minor in Muir College... hobbies include going to the beach, snowboarding and fingerpainting.
