AS A JUNIOR IN 2006: Appeared in 17 games with nine starts in his first season at UCSD... 42 strikeouts was the third highest total on the team... won two games and earned a save against Cal State Monterey Bay on May 7, pitching 1.2 perfect innings, striking out two.

AT GAVILAN CC: Named first-team All-Conference as a member of the baseball team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team All-League honors at Gilroy HS.

PERSONAL: Born May 30, 1985... parents are Paul and Pam Gimenez... has one brother named Chris... Chris plays minor league baseball, as do relatives Bryan Rogers and Benji Dequin... is a Psychology major in Warren College... hobbies include whiffleball.
